Orinoco - the colours of life duration: 1 x 1hour special
format: TV-programming, wildlife
material: digital betacam
In the beginning there was the light.
The light of the sun travels millions of miles through deep space. It is the source
of all life on our planet. The energy of the light brings life to its iridescent colourful
splendor.
At the Orinoco, the gigantic river system in the heart of Venezuela, the colours of life
show like nowhere else on the planet:
colours to camouflage, warn, deter, seduce.
Green lizards, bright red insects of prey, poisonous
snakes and camouflaged crocodiles - they all use colours in their fight for survival.
The film shows this adventure of life in the fairy-tale rainforests of Venezuela and is presented
in an impressive combination of brilliant film scenes and high-end digital special effects.
