  • Eyes in hairdryers
    Installation
for the art and exhibition project "Praxis Dr. McCoy", 1993
    Material:
Four hairdryers from the exclusive boutique of Margot Honecker, four portable mini TV sets (107mm x 83mm screen), video tape with a recording of a sometimes moving eye, a video machine.

Four metres above the viewer's head, four empty hair dryers are hung.
Small TV screens are inside, fitted with metal bands. The viewer is unable to see the edges of the screens inside the dryers. An eye can be seen on the screens, which sometimes simply stares out and at other times blinks or glances at the viewers.
