  for the art and exhibition project "Praxis Dr. McCoy", 1991
  Material:
  Steel structure and mechanical parts of a VEB-machine (from the former Eastern part of Germany), with 21 individual images on printed material strips, metal boxes with a stroboscope.

  Driven by a 380V motor, two belts and a chain move six vertical rollers. Looking through the metal boxes, the individual images on the material strips are transformed into a flowing sequence. This cinematic effect is created by a stroboscope, which fuses together the individual frames to create a film. This piece was also on display in Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Berlin at the exhibition "In the tradition of modernity: humans and machines" marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of the IG Metall union. Artists participating in this exhibition included Fischli & Weiss, Marie-Jo Lafontaine, Raffael Rheinsberg, Nicolas Baginsky and BBM.
